Raw Chocolate Recipe

That something is the raw cacao bean, the nut that all chocolate is made from. The cacao bean has always been and will always be nature’s #1 weight loss and high-energy food. Cacao beans are probably the best kept secret in the entire history of food.”

Try making these delicious raw chocolate truffles for holiday parties or as gifts.  You’ll be the most popular person around.

Chef Karolina’s Raw Chocolate Truffles

Prep time:  10 mins.
Un-Cook time:  20 mins (to roll and dredge in toppings)
Yield:  25 truffles

Ingredients:

1 cup cacao powder
1 cup cashews
½ cup maple syrup
Water (to mix)

Mix cashews in a food processor to a powder, adding water to mix.  Add maple syrup to cashews and process then mix with cacao powder, refrigerate for a few hours or overnight for better results.

*roll in shredded coconut, chocolate nibs, cacao powder, dehydrated cherries or ginger, or whatever you love!
*try macadamia nuts instead of cashews

How Will You Avoid H1N1 (Swine Flu) This Season?

Whether you decide to get the H1N1 vaccination or not (I Say Not), you can take precautions to avoid the flu or to help reduce symptoms once you recognize them.  Below are some suggestions to lower your risk and ease the onslaught of those symptoms.

Wash hands frequently, especially when arriving at work, after shaking hands, using a phone, etc.  Basically when ever you touch something that you’re not sure is clean!

Gargle 2-3 times a day with warm salt water. Use Listerine if you don’t trust salt. H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat to proliferate and show symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. Don’t underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful method.

Use supplements Vitamin C, E, and Zinc, as well as Oreganol (wild oregano oil), 5 drops (no more) in some water taken 2-3 times per day can wipe out flu virus when symptoms start to come on.  Taking certain herbs like Una De Gato is always a great idea!
